Likewise, Compass not only compiles and verifies clean, accurate information but our team is dedicated to ensure content integration onto any platform. The dual focus on data accuracy as well as data integration is what sets Compass apart from our competitors.


Compass compiles and verifies a business-to-business database of 16.5 million total U.S. businesses, 8.3 million small office/home offices, 15.7 million top decision makers with email and phones and 1.4 million total Canadian businesses. These business databases also offer site and enterprise-wide data selections that are necessary to target and segment ideal business customers.  It is because of the scope and accuracy of these flagship business products that Compass has become an industry leader in business information compilation and verification.

Compass embraces every data driven data application in both online and offline environments. Online data applications include email prospecting and email append, real time data append via API, lead generation, ad targeting, customer relationship management (CRM) and online directories. Offline applications include marketing and sales lists, direct mail prospecting and customer engagement, telemarketing, risk management, customer file enhancement and segmentation, mobile marketing and data hygiene and standardization.

Compass Partners


Todd Love – Partner


Todd has 25 years of experience with both online and offline database product development and has held various titles during his lengthy career. His roles have included: Founder, Partner, EVP Product Development, EVP Corporate Development, EVP Business Development, EVP Data Acquisition and EVP of Sales. Prior to his involvement with Compass Marketing, Todd’s experience has included service at CMGi/YesMail, Primis Marketing, Direct Media, Acxiom as well as many consultative roles throughout the direct marketing, internet marketing and telecommunications industries. Todd was a founding partner and Executive Vice President at CMGi/YesMail, Inc., an innovator in online advertising and email audience targeting, where he guided product direction during the companies IPO and subsequent sale to CMGi. Todd currently resides in Naples, Florida with his two sons, Griffin and Reef.


John Hartmann – Partner


John began his career in Direct Marketing over 18 years ago at Metromail as a Client Service Director. Since that time he has held positions with Acton Direct and was a partner in Nyberg Solutions. John’s vast experience in data compilation serves Compass Marketing well as he oversees both compilation and IT. He is a frequent speaker at DMA postal and list forums and is a member of both the Direct Marketing Association and the Mid-America Direct Marketing Association. John earned his BA in Sociology from the University of Nebraska.  In his spare time he enjoys college and pro football, Chicago White Sox baseball, reading, biking and running. He resides in Lincoln, Nebraska with his wife and two daughters. 


Michelle Brown – Partner


Michelle has over 16 years of experience in the Direct Marketing industry.  Prior to becoming a Partner in Compass Marketing she held positions with Acton Direct, InfoUSA and Nyberg Solutions.  Her positions included roles in sales, product management and International data product development.  Currently, Michelle is responsible for the marketing and financial operations of Compass Marketing Solutions.  She is a member of the Direct Marketing Association, The American Marketing Association and the Mid-America Direct Marketing Association.  In her spare time Michelle enjoys cooking, gardening, camping, reading, college football, New York Yankees baseball and spending time with her family. Michelle resides in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband and three daughters.
